Supporting Huntington's Disease Association (HDA)

Message from Marcus Harris (U14s Coach)

Hello Everyone,

For those of you who may or may not know, over the past 8 months I have been raising money for Huntington's Disease Association, and to finish off my fund raising activities, I will be hosting a charity rugby tag tournament on the 29th June at the 'Manor'.

The reason for my fund raising has been to support a charity skydive for Darran’s (my brother) 50th Birthday (which has passed). Rather than asking people for donations I decided to do a number of challenges to raise the money.

The Huntington's Disease Association (HDA) is a charity that supports people in England and Wales affected by the genetic neurodegenerative brain condition Huntington's disease (HD). It has worked to establish and support a network of multidisciplinary clinics for HD patients in the UK.

The tournament is open to everyone, but the minimum age for children is 12 years old, so come on down for an afternoon of family fun and rugby.

The attached the poster provides more information and if you have any question please feel free to contact me, thank you.

Challenges completed for HDA so far:

- Dyed my hair Pink for one month
- Did Movember
- Gave up alcohol for 7 weeks
- Shaved my head
- Got my first piercing
- Got my chest waxed
