We are delighted to announce that our Senior Men’s head coaching duo of Jesse Liston and Michael Sargent have agreed to extend their contracts with the club for another two years, taking our club through to 2028. This effectual partnership has been instrumental in elevating our provision of coaching to a whole new level throughout our section and we have seen the fruits of this partnership on the pitch in some of the most incredibly fast paced, structured & exciting rugby we have ever seen at our club.
Over the last four years we have seen our 1XV finish third & twice as runners up in London & SE Division Regional 2 Anglia & with just one league fixture left to play in this season’s campaign, Manor sits on top of the pile with just a home game v Rochford RFC this Saturday.
Director of Rugby Mark Farrell commented;
“We work hard to provide the very best player experience possible & we are extremely proud of our achievements to date, and we are very excited to continue our pathway which could not happen without our talented squad of players, the resolute support of our members & sponsors not forgetting our incredible army of club volunteers. But anyone in Rugby will tell you, the strength of any club is through providing stability, securing Jesse and Sitchy for another two years as our Head Coaches clearly demonstrates our clubs desire to build on the foundations already laid, to keep evolving how we play our Rugby & how we nurture & develop our future Manor players.
If we are to continue to be competitive then we must continue to be ambitious and we will be working hard to carry on providing our coaches & players with a complete support package and sustainable structure that underpins our vision for the next two years.
We are one small step away from achieving something our club never has, it’s fair to say that our sleeping giant of a club has finally risen, and we are excited to see what the next two years will bring us."
