Last Friday night, Eton Manor continued their recent good form with a strong win at home to local rivals Woodford RFC under the AGP floodlights. A strong Manor pack started the game quickly and soon got into their stride enabling a solid platform to score seven very well made tries. One incredible score from hooker Ciaran Preston, whose blistering pace saw him run in from 70m, outstripping five defenders to the try line. George Bradley efficiently pulled the strings from fly half and managed a to cap a fine performance with a try between the posts. Other try scorers were from Inside Centre Conrad Edgar, Second Row BJ Tunde, Back Row David Ogufere, Outside Centre, Jordan Sullivan - Warner & Scrum half Michael Sargent. Ciaran Preston earned his second MoM of this campaign.

Final score was Eton Manor 43 - 7 Woodford.

This Saturday we have two important Mens league fixtures, both being played back to back on our AGP. First up we have Eton Manor 2ndXV v Harlow II, KO time is set for 1.15pm. Manors strong 2ndXV have continued from last seasons double league and cup success and currently sit on top of Essex Merit Premier Division.

Our second fixture features 3rd placed Eton Manor RFC v Southend RFC who are the current Regional 2 Anglia League leaders. The earlier league encounter at Warners Bridge was a thriller & narrowly won by Southend. Eton Manor will be looking to reverse that result and push up the league table.

Kick off time is 3.30pm.
