After Woodford 1s had conceded the game against manor 1s that morning the manor support relocated to woodford to watch manor 3s take on Woodford 3s.
Manor were able to field a strong team with Francois making his lengthy return after over 2 years out. Elsewhere ex woodford man, TJ lines up in the centre and Conor made his first appearance of the season on the wing.
Manor made hard work of the game however a good score from Conor opened the scoring and brought manor the lead in the first half. Manor followed this up with good tries from Charlie in the second half and a double from Brad playing in the slightly unfamiliar position of full back.
Humorous incidents included; Gavin and Charlie both managing to drop the ball 1 metre from the try line, the front row not being able to hook the ball with all the props having a try at hooking and finally Riaan surprising himself by getting through (nearly) the whole game!
There were good performances from Charlie at centre, Conor, Elton off the bench and Brad at full back but my man of the match goes to Riaan who was at his industrious best.
Finally a word of thanks to the supporters who took over woodfords club house and created a fantastic atmosphere the whole game.
