Saracens Amateurs As vs Eton Manor U17s.

Eton Manor U17s were grateful to Saracens Amatuers for their kind offer to host this fixture at the Bramley Sports Ground in Southgate. We had one of our largest squad s turn out this season, 22 players in all.
Saracens are a top class side with some excellent players and it was clear from the start that this would be a close fought match. The deadlock 0 - 0 was broken by Saracens only on the stroke of half time. Eton Manor in the scond half then scorded 3 tries and only concededed a second try to Saracnens with 10 minutes left. The defence held while we were down to 14 men and the final result of 19 -12 gave Manor the victory.
It was great to see Ross Ingram back in the Manor shirt and his performance was outstanding. David Searle was superb at fly-half, marshaling the backs and our defense. It was , however the performance of the whole team that should be mentioned with replacements fitting well into the team as and when they were called upon. Well done all of you!
