A sunny but cool march day saw Eton manor take on Cheshunt RFC ,who play in division 6 ,Middlesex league. The game saw plenty of running rugby from manor with tries from all over the park. There were great hands through the backline for most of the tries with both wingers ( Will Fitch and Brian) and the full back ( Farhad ) picking up a brace of tries. The centres didn't miss out either with both Harry and Oscar going over the whitewash. Ross Ingram showed great running and passing skills in the last 2 quarters of the match and was a constant threat to the Chesent defence. Chesent never gave in and were rewarded for there efforts with a fine try in the dying minutes of the match.
A special mention to Daniel Lockley who volunteered to play for Cheshunt in the first half. Daniel received the kick off from EM to start the match and was in the thick of it from then on. Daniel saved a try early in the match for Chesent and made a great run later in the match when playing for EM ,his pass finding the support for a good try. Callum Hibberd also showed a quick set of heals towards the end of the match with a fine 30m run through the heart of the Chesent defence.
Finally, the tackle of the match wet to Sam ( flanker) who, Courtney laws like, smashed one of the opposition players in the first quarter, delaying the game for 5 min. The player recovered eventually and resumed playing.
