The last game at Chelmsford ended in a heavy defeat to Chelmsford RFC so a tough game was anticipated on a cold day in Essex. EM was the first to score with quick hands through the backs and a fine pass from Farhad( fullback ) to Brian on the wing to race away and score. Chelmsford replied within minutes to even the score. Two further tries and a conversion left the score 17-5 to CRFC at half time.

EM started the second half on fire with constant pressure leading to a try to prop Jayden, a new addition to the team this season. Both teams traded tries soon after, with a good try to Tim on the wing, another new addition this season. Chelmsford scored from an EM mistake with 10 min to go. sustained EM pressure lead to a fine break down the right by Farouk ( yet another addition to the team this season), who with encouragement from the sidelines scored near the posts. With 90 seconds left on the clock , EM tried valiantly to score but a final penalty to Chelmsford ended an entertaining match.
