First game of the year!

Clear blue skies appeared for the first league game of the new year. With EM facing a strong RGP team, playing in the opposition half was the orders for the game. A good start by EM was undone by a mistake on the try line with a loose pass gifting a converted try under the posts to RGP. Almost immediately EM drove towards the opposition half . Pressure eventually was rewarded with a converted try to Harry Hughes ( scrum half) from a ruck less than a meter from the line. Great defense by EM throughout the half meant the sides went in to half time 7-7. The second half started well but some dropped balls and a tiring defence meant that RGP were able to race away with the game in the second half. Some good kick and returns from Farhad at fullback ,strong tackling from Casey and strong running from Pierre showed the way for the boys today . An enjoyable and good performance by EM, particularly in the first half.
