A cold and windy day saw EM up against a strong RGP team . Both teams started with 14 players , with EM having no reserves. EM got off to a poor start with tries to RGP in the first quarter and one to EM 17-5. Manor came roaring back in the second quarter closing the gap to 17-12, and , gaining in confidence Manor continued to pressure RGP. Unfortunately injuries to Tim and David reduced EM to 12 players for the remaining 2.5 quarters ( 15 min each) . RGP continued to play with 14 players for the remainder of the match, demonstrating how worried they were about EM fighting spirit. With non contested scrums and a two man overlap in the backs for the remainder of the match, RGP ran out comfortable winners against a tiring EM side.
