On a freezing day at Bancroft RFC, Romford U12s and Eton Manor collided.

Bancroft RFC do not have a full U12 squad and so when Romford were down to play them this Sunday, Eton Manor U12s offered to fill the gap.
It was agreed that the game be divided into four 15 minute quarters giving plenty of opportuity to develop and coach the boys. Romford came with an impressive record this season of large wins against quality opposition and the first half showed why they had had such success with only onee try separating the two teams Romford 15 Eton manor 10.
An inspired team talk by Head Coach Dave Ingram, saw an improved performance by the Boys in the second half with tries coming from both strong forward play and smooth, slick back play The final result being Romford 15 Eton Manor 55.
The forwards were bolstered by the return of Ross Ingram at Tight Head and with the rest of the pack set about demolishing a very strong Romford pack both in the loose and set scrums. Bryan Okoye played a superb game at full back returning any kicks from Romford with interest! Harry Hughes was a rock in defence until injury forced him to leave the game, fortunately this injury does not seem as serious as it first appeared and he should be back soon.
A BIG thank you to Bancroft for their warm and generous hospitality on such a cold cold day.
