The U14s travelled to Chingford with a depleted squad due to Essex training, this gave some players a good opportunity to get some quality game time. We started the game with 14 players a side and the boys took a little time to settle down, but once they did they went on to put together some nice flowing rugby which at times defied the weather conditions. The boys crossed the line for four tries in the first half, but more impressively managed to hold out on their own line to stop a much improving Chingford side from crossing. The second half saw Chingford pile on even more pressure and they looked certain to score but for two try saving tackles from George and Reed!! The boys broke out of defence to score two fantastic tries from Kane and Thomas.
Other notable performances were put in particularly by our own Pocock & Hopper in the back row, Jamie and Finn M, and there was also a class performance at scrum half from George.
Well done boys, onto the big cup game next week against Maldon!!
