Manor U14 were missing 5 of their regular backs for a game against their local rivals Wanstead RFC. the lack of numbers meant that the 4 new players who had joined the club this week, had to be used a little more than was expected. but all 4 performed really well and look very promising!
Neither team managed to trouble the score sheet in the first half, but Wanstead came very close on a number of occasions, but for the strong defence of the pack, Tom G and Reed in particular the visitors should have been 3 or 4 scores up. Manor started the second half strongly and were the first to score, with Terrell picking and going from the base of the scrum, this was one of the best performances from this extremely talented young man. I think he ended up finishing the move he started as well. this unfortunately was the best it got for Manor, Wanstead began to turn the screw again and this time they managed to break the Manor defence with some classy backs moves. most moves involved their extremely talented centre Luke, who also manage to score one himself and convert two as well.
well done to Jamie who due to the lack of backs had to have a run out at Centre and Bertie who for the same reason played a controlled game at Stand off.
Man of the Match was Tom G
A big get well soon to Eoin, cant wait until he is back in the Manor Blues!
