In our first game of the day against Woodford,Manor started the better of the two sides with most of the possesion and looking comfortable.
Manor were dominating the scrum which again gave the backs plenty of ball to attack Woodford at will with only good defensive work preventing Manor from scoring. When Woodford finally had Manor on the back foot and camped on our try line Manor turned the ball over and prop Christian Donovan running the full length of the pitch for a breakaway try, with inside centre Harry Keeling converting for a win.
In the second game Manor were under pressure from a big Thurrock side right from the off and found it hard to get a foothold in the game with Thurrock scoring two converted tries for a deserved lead.
As the game wore on Manor started to get back in the game with the backs finding gaps in the Thurrock defence only to be held up on the line twice and scrum half Oliver Poulter just edged into touch as he put the ball down and full back Joseph Hurley breaking from his own half just to tackled by a great track back as he looked clean through with chances gone Thurrock held on for a deserved win.
