Due to some good communication between a few local clubs, Wanstead RFC kindly offered to host a friendly Under Thirteens tournament at Wanstead on the last Sunday of the half term. Knowing there was a strong possibility that sides may be under strength, the aim of the day was pure and simple. Plenty of enjoyable rugby for all sides played in great spirit. All achieved on the day. We had just 13 players but were helped at match time by Hackney and Wanstead for both our matches where we needed players and they did a fine job. John O who has been one of the star performers for us this season took a knock in the last game but is fully fit again and raring to go for the game against Westcliff next week.
Teams in attendance were Hackney, Enfield, Chingford, Wanstead and the Manor.
Wanstead were eventual winners.
Thanks to Jeremy at Wanstead for doing all the work arranging on the day.
