Manor progress to next round

Eton Manor hosted Chingford in round 2 of the Cup at Nutter Lane. It was a very even affair with some good rugby played by both sides despite the windy conditions. Chingford had the upper hand at maul time but Eton Manor matched them at the scrums and lineouts. Some good handling in the first half meant that Eton Manor were able to capitalise and end the half ahead by two tries aforester Chingford had taken the lead. Eton Manor try scorers in the first half were Edgar Huish, Matthew Bucknall, Luke Fox and Will Maxwell. The second half was very tight with both teams scrapping for every ball. Daniel Taylor at outside centre for Eton Manor was having an outstanding game and managed to stop a certain Chingford try with a last ditch tackle on the Chingford winger. In the last minutes of the game, flanker John Ogunesan who was Eton Manor forward of the day, broke away for add one final try to make the score 27-12 at the final whistle. Sonny Gerard Patterson made his debut for the Manor.
