Eton Manor played a small Chelmsford squad of just 15 players but who came fully up for the match and bringing a good off loading game which seemed to cause the Manor plenty of problems. Chelmsford quickly went two tries up through some good handling and Manor had to regroup and start to make their tackles. The effort paid off when John Ogunesan made a break through try before the break. The second half was scrappy with a few stoppages and the crosswind did not help Manor who like to play an expansive game. Pressure from Chelmsford defence saw the Manor backs struggle to move the ball out wide and constantly getting caught in possession or running the ball back into traffic. Chelmsford scored one more try before Manor came back with one of their own right on the final whistle through a driving maul, touched down by Nicholas Mann. Eton Manor play Hackney in a friendly next Sunday.
