Due to some late unavailibilty, Eton Manor travelled with just fourteen players to Hackney RFC for a friendly match with our good friends at the North London club. Always a pleasure to play at Hackney and this Sunday was no different. A number of boys were playing out of their normal position like Luke Fox at 10 and Nick Mann at Inside centre but Manor started well. They moved the ball well in the first 15 minutes which resulted in a couple of tries for Dan Taylor and Leo Espada. Then inexplicably, our organisation went to pieces and Hackey hit back with two tries of their own. The half time team talk revolved around getting the lads to keep their concentration and start to make sure we made that final pass. The tackling improved and two tries resulted for Edgar and Nick to seal the game. Adam and Mahdi showed their ball carrying process more during this period. Manor need to work on their defensive organisation and reacting to opposition penalties.
