Manor travelled to Harlow for a friendly match without all of their regular front three and with a few of their backs missing also. However, the makeshift new forward line up did brilliantly with Joe Hatch filling in at hooker and Robbie and Nicholas playing 1 and 3. Harlow had some big players but Manors' tacking and rucking display was the best of the season so far. A break down the right from John O brought the first try, converted by Harry T. Harlow equalised through some good forward play and the match remained an excellent contest for the rest of the half. Dan Taylor added another opportunistic try before the break after sustained pressure by Manor on the Harlow try line. The pattern of the match continued in the second half with some great competition at the break down from both sides. Two more tries from Eton Manor through Matthew Bucknall and Nicholas followed and Edgar was unlucky not to score through two strong runs down the Harlow left, just being pulled up short of the Harlow try line. The squad is starting to click and everyone is contributing on the defensive side. Hugo and Sonny both played their first full matches for the Manor. Manor pal Chelmsford in the league next Sunday. Elliot Luscombe was captain for the day in place of Henry and was elected man of the match.
