the u9s won the pool with the best points difference in the competition including chingford the top team in the age group for 2 seasons who predictably won the other pool. this led to a manor chingford final , a draw would mean a win for our lads as we had scored more tries through the day .after a hard fought game trailing 10-5 going into the last minute speedster bryan okoye who had been superb all day ran 30 metres down the touchine for a perfect try ,pedictably the chingford yob mob who patrol the touchline at every tournament screamed out and swayed the bemused ref with a discraceful display of how not to behave in front of kids which resulted in a lineout and final whistle the sheepish reaction of the chingford head coach said it all as they cheated a victory depriving our guys of a deserved win with the smallest squad in the competition .the general behaviour of the chingford parents and the thurrock parents in particular was an absolute disgrace.this festival is really turning into quite an unsavoury event and in my opinion the club neds to look at our future participation. lets not distract though from a fabulous performance from the under 9s which can only bode wellfor the rest of the season UTM
